Addis Ababa, March 1, 2011 (Addis Ababa) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn lauded the activities being made by the Ethiopian Renaissance Association in building the mage of the nation.
Hailemariam made the statement while addressing a meeting organized by the Association that got underway here on Tuesday.
He stressed the need that the Association should work closer with international media to be able to build the image of the nation.
Hailemariam said Ethiopia, having being able to extricate from years of famine, has managed to join now the ranks of the fastest economies in the world.
Association President, Tadele Yimer said on his part that the Association is engaged in an extensive campaign in building the image of the nation among the international community.
He said his Association using Ethiopians-in Diaspora is striving to build the image of the country.
The Association has planned to establish branch offices in 23 government higher learning institutions.
