4th All-African Leather Fair (AALF) Opens in Addis

Addis Ababa, March 1, 2011 (Addis Ababa, ENA) - Fourth All-African Leather Fair (AALF) in which over 190 companies engaged in leather manufacturing industries will display their products was opened here on Tuesday.

Various leather products of different companies from 31 countries are being displayed in the trade fair, organizers said.

Some 54 of the companies which will show their products for show are from Ethiopia while the rest are from different African countries.

Some 10,000 locals and foreigners are expected to visit the trade fair which would remain open for open for three days as of today.

The trade fair was opened by Trade Minister Mekonnen Manyaewal.

Mekonnen said on the occasion that the trade fair would help introduce the leather industrial products to the international market.

Speaking at the opening of the trade fair, Ethiopian Leather Industries Association (ELIA) Board Chairman, Solomon Getu AALF has given Ethiopia the opportunity to bring together the leather and leather products and allied industries community from various countries under one roof.

He further it helps to interact and discuss business deals and exchange about latest trends and technology. Source: ena
