Ethiopian to seize undeclared currencies above $3,000 from travellers
(28, Jun, (The Punch))--The Ethiopian Customs and Revenue Authority has revealed it would commence seizure of undeclared foreign currencies and valuables in excess of 3,000 dollars. Mr Friday Akpan, Acting Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs disclosed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Abuja.

(Mar 12, (DW News))--Aircraft manufacturer Boeing says it has 'no new guidance' to offer after one of its 737 MAX 8 airplanes crashed in Ethiopia, killing all 157 people onboard. China has grounded all aircraft of that model. At least two airlines have followed suit.
The cause of the crash remains unclear. The Ethiopian Airlines flight lost contact with air-traffic control just six minutes after take-off. Passengers from 35 countries were on board the plane heading to the Kenyan capital, Nairobi.

Ethiopian Airlines flight to Nairobi crashes, deaths reported | AlJazeera English
(Mar 10, Al Jazeera English))--AljaAn Ethiopian Airlines jet with 157 people on board has crashed. The Boeing 737 took off from the capital, Addis Ababa, bound for Nairobi, Kenya. It came down six minutes later near the town of Bishoftu, Ethiopia.
It was the latest version of the 737 - 800 MAX - identical to the Lion Air jet which crashed off the coast of Indonesia in October, killing all 189 people on board.
Pilots have since accused Boeing of failing to warn them of changes to the flight controls and a new, automated stall prevention system. Al Jazeera spoke to Alex Macheras, an aviation analyst who joined us on Skype from Malaga. Our correspondent Catherine Soi also joined us from Nairobi on the phone to discuss the latest updates.
