Funeral of Coventry ring road bridge plunge woman

Afework Tesfas, one of Miss Kidane’s close friends, said: “The community is still in shock and coming to terms with what happened.

I ‘ve  known Genet for a long time. She was a very nice and warm person and it’s very sad to see how she has gone.” 

As reported in yesterday’s Telegraph Miss Kidane’s family and friends are trying to raise money so that her body can be taken back to her home city of Asmara, in Eritrea, so she can be buried according to her culture.

They have already pooled their own money to raise £1,400 but need another £3,000 for the air fares.Yonas Beraki has been charged with Miss Kidane’s murder. "A lot of people here still haven’t been able to accept that Genet has gone.
