Cops prove smarter than women inmates Bid to flee custody foiled

Source: Araab Times, KUWAIT CITY, Feb 1, 2011
Three Ethiopian women tried to escape from the Violators Follow-up Department by raising a false alarm about fire.
The women opened a fire extinguisher set, which immediately gave out fire alarms and a white ‘flour’ like substance fell that caused smoke in the cell. The women started shouting for help. On hearing fire alarm and the cries of the women, securitymen rushed to the place and opened the door of the cell, but there was no trace of fire. All three women reportedly tried to escape as soon as the cell door was opened, but securitymen, who are aware of such attempts, foiled their plans.
High-ranking officials visited the place to make sure that no prisoner escaped from custody.
