Addis Ababa's modern light railway is big infrastructure boost

(Nov 03, 2015, (BBC ))--In the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa there has been much excitement surrounding the recent opening of a modern urban light railway or tram service.

The urban railway project, which cost $475m (£308m), was partly funded by China's Exim Bank and has been touted as the solution to the city's growing road transport problems.
