(Jan 31, 2012, emirates247)--An Ethiopian housemaid was rushed to hospital after she tried in vain to kill herself by consuming a large number of tablets and other medicines in her sponsor’s house in Sabah Al-Nasser area, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The sponsor’s family members heard the maid crying hysterically and rushed to her room where they found her lying on the floor, writhing in pain. A case of attempted suicide has been registered against the woman and police are conducting investigations to find out why she wanted to kill herself.
