(9 June 2011, SHARJAH)- The Sharjah Police are investigating the death of a 28-year-old Ethiopian maid who fell from the third floor of a building in Al Mussala area on Tuesday at 12pm.
The maid who worked illegally with an Arab family was found dead in a pool of blood with injury on her skull. The police received information at the operations room about the incident and immediately dispatched the patrol, forensic expert and ambulance to the site.
The body of the maid was shifted to forensic laboratory for more investigation to find the cause of the death. In another incident, a 41-year-old Pakistani man jumped to his death form the fourth floor of a building in Abu Shaghara area in Sharjah on Sunday. According to the police, the man was suffering from mental disorder.
No one was there in his apartment at the time of his death. The police are currently interrogating his friends and relatives. An official of the Sharjah Police said that the number of suicide cases has increased since the beginning of this year. Most of the people who committed suicide are workers or maids.
