Israeli Delegation to Discuss with Ethiopian Government Officials

Addis Ababa, March 8, 2011 (Addis Ababa) - Israeli delegation representing the country's ministries of Agriculture and Trade and Industry will hold discussion on March 10 - 11 with Development Assistance Group Ethiopia (DAG), an umbrella of development actors.

According to a press release the Embassy of Israel sent ENA on Tuesday, the purpose of the discussion is to facilitate and assist Ethiopian government on in its efforts to achieve the Growth and Transformation Plan (GTP).

The discussion is aimed at developing common understanding and framework for consideration by the donor community.

It is also aimed at sharing information and to identify a set of best practices regarding value chain development, the role of the private sector, Public-Private Partnership models among others.

The donors group includes, the Netherlands Development Cooperation (SNV), German International Cooperation (GIZ), United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Mennonite Economic Development Associates (MEDA) and Israeli International Development Cooperation Agency (MASHAV)
