Malawi knock Ethiopia further back

(Sep 12, 2014, (Super Sport))--Ethiopia's struggles in the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifiers continued as they lost 3-2 away to Malawi in their second Group B game on Wednesday.

Ethiopia opened their qualifying campaign with a 2-1 home defeat by favourites in Group B Algeria on Saturday. Malawi can thank their South Africa-based striker Atusaye Nyondo for his brace of goals, which began after 18 minutes.

Another South Africa-based player, Ethiopia midfielder Getaneh Kebede, equalised on the stroke of halftime. But Frank Banda restored Malawi's advantage with a 62nd minute goal before Nyondo added the third four minutes later. Read more from Super Sport »
