(March 23, 2011, Addis Ababa, ENA)--Ethiopian Religious Institutions Peace and Consultative Forum condemned the skirmishes orchestrated by anti-peace forces under the disguise of religion in some parts of Jimma and Guraghe zones.
In a press conference it gave here on Tuesday Forum said the damage inflicted by the clashes for their hidden agenda is unacceptable.
It lauded the efforts of the people in the localities in exposing intruders instigated the clashes and urged to further be strengthened. The Forum called on government to undertake all the necessary investigation and take the culprits to court urgently.
The Forum encompasses the Ethiopian Orthodox Church, Ethiopian Islamic Affairs Council, Ethiopian Catholic Church, Ethiopian Mekane Yesus Church and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
