Bureau boosting capacities of 3 radio stations

Addis Ababa, March 23, 2011 (Addis Ababa) - Construction and furbishing activities are underway in three radio stations in South Ethiopia People’s State at a cost of 14 million Birr, the State’s Education Bureau said.

Bureau communication Affairs Process Owner, Derese Getasa told ENA on Wednesday that digitalization are being carried out in Mizan, Wolaita and Sidama radio stations.
He said the construction and installation of machines is underway in Mizan radio stations with an outlay of 12 million Birr.

The ongoing construction will enable the state to broadcast in 14 native languages from 10 at present.
Up on completion in this Ethiopian budget year, the undertakings would enable the bureau to broadcast practice oriented adults education for farmers and semi-pastoralists in the region.
