(March 24, 2011, Addis Ababa, ENA)--Asset disclosure and registration significantly contributes to speed up development, strengthen democracy and prevent maladministration, the Federal Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (FEACC) said.
Principal Assets Disclosure and Registration Officer at the Commission, Nuru Addis said here on Thursday at an awareness raising discussion organized for media practitioners that asset disclosure and registration contributes share in maintaining good governance and creating morally sound citizens.
He said it also helps to prevent corruption and facilitate investigation on affairs related to corruption. In addition it enables to further enhance success of public service providers and make working systems transparent
Nuru said the commission will make official information on asset disclosure and registration in every two years. It will also make it public through its website in the future.
