(Addis Ab aba, January 19 (WIC)--Ethiopian Christians celebrated epiphany colorfully on Tuesday through out the country.
The holiday was marked colorfully in Addis Ababa on January 19, 2011 in Jan-Meda in the presence of thousands of believers, dignitaries, ambassadors and tourists.
Patriarch of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church and President of World Council of Churches, Abune Paulos, on the occasion lauded the need to come together so as to alleviate poverty and prevent diseases.
He also appreciated the contribution of the young have made to celebrate the holiday peacefully and colorfully.
