Ethiopia and Nigeria Agree to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

(August 24, 2011, Addis Ababa, ENA)--Ethiopia and Nigeria have reached agreement to strengthen the bilateral relations between them.

The agreement was reached during the discussion held here on Wednesday between Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Affairs Minister, and Nigerian Foreign Minister, Olubenga Ashiru, accordding to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Dina Mufti.

The two countries have reached agreement to enhance their ties in tourism, investment and trade sectors, among others.

According to the Ambassador, the two sides have also decided that the two countries will hold a joint ministerial meeting in Nigeria next year.

The two officials have also discussed regional issues, the peace and security of Libya, among others.
