(August 28, 2011, Addis Ababa, ENA) - "Enkutatash Expo 2011" , an International Exhibition organized by Afro Dan Private Limited Company was launched here on Saturday.
In a message delivered through a representative, President Girma Woldegiorgis said the international expo will play an important role to promote Ethiopia’s trade and investment. He said the exhibition will build strong trade cooperation among business communities, he said, adding, it will also create new job opportunities for a number of people.
Girma said private companies have been contributing share toward the success of the five-year Growth and Transformation Plan. Owner and Manager of Afro Dan Plc, Daniel Workishet on his part said objective of the Expo is to create sound business relations and joint-venture among business communities.
Promoting Ethiopia’s trade and investment alternatives and opportunities for international communities is also another focus area of the Expo, Daniel said. He said the exhibition will create possibility for domestic and foreign companies to promote their products and services.
More than 333 domestic and foreign companies are taking part in the exhibition, Daniel noted. He said over two million Birr revenue is expected to be secured through the Expo.
Established in 1995, Afro Dan is engaged in diversified business activities including in general import, advertising, printing, and organizing local and international exhibition and trade fairs, according to a document made available on the occasion. More than one million people are expected to visit the 16-day exhibition.
