(May 24, 2011, Addis Ababa)--The Ethiopian Aviation Academy has graduated 15 Sudanese and two Mozambique Aviation Maintenance Technicians on Thursday May 19, 2011 at the airline’s headquarters.
Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines and H.E Brigadier General Ding Admi Adim, Air force Commander of SPLA awarded diplomas to the graduates and prizes to the outstanding students during their stay in the academy.
After handing over the diplomas, the CEO Mr. Tewolde said, “Today’s graduation is a symbol African solidarity and marks the synergy African countries are creating to develop their human resources.”

He added, “’Ethiopian always welcomes new trainees and ensures that customers are satisfied with its training standards.” The guest of honor, Brigadier General Ding Adim said,” The graduates made it because of Ethiopian Airlines’ support. We are very much satisfied with the training qualities at the Ethiopian Aviation Academy.
This graduation will never be our last. Ethiopian Airlines is our home; therefore, we will come again to train more crews.” The graduates from Sudan and Mozambique joined Ethiopian Aviation Academy for on-the-job training at the Ethiopian maintenance facilities.
During their stay in the Academy, the trainees have taken on the job training for fifteen months in the fields of aircraft engine and hangar maintenance, aircraft structure and avionics maintenance.
The Ethiopian Aviation Academy is a multinational training center that consists of Pilot Training School, Aviation Maintenance School, and School of Marketing, and School for the Cabin Crew.

The Aviation Maintenance Technicians School was established in 1967 and has graduated a total of 2892 technicians, out of which 848 were trainees coming from Africa and the Middle Eastern countries.
