(May 29, 2011, CAIRO) - Officials from Egypt and Ethiopia gather in Cairo today to map out a strategy to boost business and trade ties between the two countries, a news release said.
The event, which will be held on the sidelines annual meeting of the Ethiopian-Egyptian Business Council Association, will be attended by businesspersons from both countries, it added.
The meeting will be attended by business officials and Egyptian and Ethiopian ministers, who will discuss the best means for launching joint ventures here, the news release said.

Mr. Ayman Eissa, the Council Chairman, said that the event comes as a result of a visit by Egyptian Prime Minister Esssam Sharaf to Ethiopia recently.
"At today's meeting, Egyptian officials will explain to Ethiopian businessmen the incentives that are being offered by the Cairo Government to lure capital owners into launching joint ventures hers," Eissa said.
He said that the meeting will be a good opportunity for visiting businessmen and officials, led by Ethiopian Trade Minister Abdrahman Sheek Mohammed, the available entrepreneurial chances in their country.
Eissa said that the two countries are keen on enhancing bilateral business and trade ties.
