China to unveil its foreign assistance policy

(April 19, 2011, Addis Ababa, ENA)--The Chinese government is to launch its foreign assistance policy document next month.

In a press conference he gave here on Monday the visiting Chinese Commerce Vice Minister Fu Ziying said the document would clearly illustrate the Chinese policy of foreign assistance. He said the Sino-Africa cooperation has been strengthened time to time.

Some 4,600 Chinese companies are operating in various areas in Africa. The Chinese government is providing support investing companies in Africa. The vice minister said his government is closely following ongoing construction of AU headquarters to complete as per the schedule.

He said China would provide various training in the coming three years to Africans to enhance their competitiveness globally. While here, the visiting Chinese delegation led by the vice minister has held discussions with senior government officials including Prime Minister Meles Zenawi.
