March 25, 2011 (Addis Ababa, ENA) - The Ethiopian Coffee Exporters Association launched a five year strategic business plan aims at boosting coffee share to the national development.
At the launching the plan here on Friday, the Association Management Board Vice President, Yeshimebet Tafesse said the plan would enhance the contribution of coffee in speeding up the development of the country.
She said the plan helps provide qualified coffee in the world market. The Association will also establish coffee fund to boost accessibility of coffee market, she said.
Oromia Coffee Farmers Cooperatives Union, General Manager Taddese Meskela on his part said the fund will help solve infrastructure problems in coffee-growing areas. The 42-year old Association is helping the country in generating foreign currency by exporting qualified coffee.
