Delegation led by A.A City Mayor leaves for Moscow

Addis Ababa, March 22, 2011 (Addis Ababa) - A delegation led by the Addis Ababa City Mayor, Kuma Demekssa left here on Tuesday for Moscow, Capital of the Russian Federation, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) enabling to establish sisterly relation between Addis Ababa and the Russian City of St. Pittsburgh.

The delegation is expected to sign the MoU to establish cooperation between the two cities in the investment, trade, industry, environmental protection municipality services, culture and sports sectors.

It will also brief Ethiopians residing in Moscow and St. Pittsburgh on the five-year Growth and Transformation Plan.

The delegation is expected to provide briefing on the sound investment law put in place, the stable socio-economic and political environment as well as investment incentives in the country, among others.

Discussion on enabling the Ethiopians participate in development activities in their homeland will also be held.

The delegation will also hold discussion with the Mayor of Moscow City on issues related to enabling Russian investors actively participate in investment activities in Ethiopia, according to a statement the Domestic and External Relations Section of the Addis Ababa City Administration sent to ENA.
