Killer on the run in Kilo 8

JEDDAH: The body of a 30-year-old Ethiopian woman was found in Jeddah’s Kilo 8 district on Sunday night, police have confirmed. The woman is thought to have been stabbed several times.

“Investigators were sent to the crime scene along with Saudi Red Crescent staff,” said Col. Misfer Al-Juaid, spokesman for Jeddah police.


“Investigators were accompanied by forensic experts who sealed off the area and launched a meticulous search for evidence, hopefully leading to the arrest of those responsible for the woman’s death.
“Investigators also found a number of fingerprints on the woman’s body.

Her body has been taken to King Abdul Aziz Hospital in south Jeddah where further investigations will take place,” said Al-Juaid.

“The circumstances behind the murder are unclear. The people of Jeddah need to be rest assured that the police are searching for the killer, who will not escape justice. He will be caught.”

Meanwhile, a Yemeni overstayer was arrested in Al-Hamrah neighborhood for trying to cash a check using fake ID. The man is in jail while investigations continue.
