Man accused of calling 911 for ride to Ethiopia

(Sept 26, 2013, (MURFREESBORO, Tenn))--A man was arrested on multiple charges after he allegedly called 911 for a ride to Ethiopia on Wednesday. Police were called to the Walmart at 2000 Old Fort Parkway in Murfreesboro around 2 a.m. in reference to a disturbance.

Upon arrival, they found Sean Williamson, 28, causing unreasonable annoyances at the customer service counter. Officers then learned that Williamson had allegedly called 911 dispatchers and asked for a ride to Ethiopia.

After talking to Williamson, police stated he admitted to using marijuana. However, officers noticed he was under the influence of another intoxicant as well. He was placed into custody, but refused to leave the store on his own will, the affidavit read.

Williamson had to be carried out. He was charged with public intoxication, misuse of 911 for reporting a non-emergency and resisting arrest. Williamson is being held on $2,250 bond. Read more from News wkrn-TV »
