(July 05, 2013, (VENTURES AFRICA))--Ethiopian Airlines has announced the receipt of its sixth Boeing 777- 200LR (Long Range) Worldliner in Seattle, Washington, as it aims to expand its network by opening more direct long range routes.
The airliner, which is the first to own and operate the 777- 200LR in Africa, says the aircraft carries more passengers and cargos farther than any other jetliner in the world and is capable of connecting any two cities without having to break flight.
“The 777-200LR’s performance and range has allowed us to open direct routes from Washington D.C to Addis Ababa, Addis Ababa to Beijing, Toronto to Addis Ababa, as well as other long range routes.” said Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO of Ethopian Airlines.
“In line with our Vision 2025, we plan to provide more and more non-stop long haul flights to connect east, west, north and south, using the strategic location of our Addis Ababa hub.” He continued. Read more from Ventures-Africa »
