Settlement reached in airport cash seizure
(May 26, 2012, CBC News |Ottawa)--The federal government has reached a settlement with an Ethiopian woman who had $12,000 seized from her at the Ottawa airport. "I am relieved, I'm happy that it's over," said Genet Shume, a single mother of two. "So, I'm happy, yes."
Voice of America journalist freed in Ethiopia
May 26, 2012, (CNN)--A Voice of America reporter detained while
trying to cover a protest by Muslims has been freed, an Ethiopian
government minister said Saturday. Peter Heinlein is out of prison and does not face charges, Berket Simon, Minister of Government Communications, said.
