Addis Ababa, March 8, 2011 (Addis Ababa) - Cuban Ambassador to Ethiopia, Clara Margarita said her country will further strengthen its support to the Ethiopian comprehensive health sector program.
The Ambassador made the remark here on Tuesday at a ceremony organized in connection to arrival of two new Cuban doctors here to give voluntary service for two years.
She said Cuba will continue to give the necessary support to the efforts of the Ethiopian government to improve the health service.
The existing cooperation between the two countries will further be strengthened since the signing of bilateral cooperation agreement in 2003, she said.
The Ambassador said Cuba is also supporting Ethiopia through technology transfer in particular in the areas of medicine, pharmacology and fertilizer.
The Ambassador said six Cuban specialists and one technician are giving voluntary service in various hospitals in Ethiopia.
