(March 10, 2011)--It was a reunion that melted hearts across the nation. Last week, CTV Saskatoon aired a story about a young Ethiopian boy who was reunited with his siblings in Warman after being separated for four years.
We recently visited the Warman family to see how Tesute is adjusting to his new home and his new life.
We found him playing hockey at school and happy at home -- all the while with a smile on his face.
His new parents, Treena Constantinoff and Ryan Killoh, say he is doing very well and is taking the cold in stride. Now, the family has started a project that will keep a permanent tie to the children's home in Africa. "Ryan and I have been in the process of starting a non-profit organization in the hopes of building an orphanage on the land where the children were born, in the town the children came from.
There are no facilities for orphaned children there and so we'd love to be able to provide that," said Constantinoff. If you would like to donate to the orphanage project, you can visit the Killoh family's website at www.thegedeboproject.com
