Addis Ababa, February 23, 2011 (Addis Ababa, ENA) - Close to 31 million US dollars was secured from coffee and oilseeds exported to abroad by the Ethiopian Agricultural Marketing Enterprise over the last six months.
The enterprise has shipped 71,000 quintals of coffee valued at 21 million US dollars to global market during the reported period, Enterprise General Manager, Berhane Hailu told ENA on Wednesday.
The enterprise has also exported 269,000 quintals of oilseeds worth about 9.5 million US dollars during the same period.
The amount of foreign currency obtained from the stated products is greater than the envisaged target, according to the General Manager.
