(Apr 04, (CGTN Africa ))--Ethiopia, many citizens are celebrating the election and inauguration of Dr Abiy Ahmed as Ethiopia's new Prime minister.[TAKE VO] Abiy replaces Hailemarian Desalegn who had been in office since 2012 and resigned in February.
Abiy's election follows nearly two and half years of street protests in which hundreds were killed and thousands detained, mainly from the country's largest ethnic groups, Oromos and Amharas.
