Ethiopian authorities to free some people arrested during protests

(Nov 15, (cctv))--Ethiopian authorities say some of the 11000 people detained under the state of emergency will be released. They have received behavioural training and correctional supervision. Analysts suggest Ethiopia could cancel the six-month state of emergency by early next year. CCTV's Girum Chala has more.

Ethiopia charges 22 over terror plot instigated by opposition in the diaspora

(Nov 16, 2016, (African News))--The Federal High Court in Ethiopia on Monday charged 22 individuals for terror related offences. According to the state affiliated FANA Broadcasting Corporate, the charges were in respect of ‘‘causing damage by inciting violence in schools.’‘
