(Jun 29, 2015, (SuperSport))--Ethiopia has been confirmed as host of the 2015 Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup that is scheduled for November, according to Ethiopia Football Federation president Junedin Basha.
Basha, who has called upon all the stakeholders in Ethiopia to come together and make the regional competition a success, is keen on making amends after Ethiopia withdrew from hosting last year’s edition at the 11th hour.
He wrote on his twitter handle, “Ethiopia will host the 2015 CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup in November. Let’s all join hands to make it a success. Congratulations!”
Cecafa secretary general Nicholas Musonye had earlier requested Rwanda to host this year’s edition but the latter is currently preparing to host Chan 2016 scheduled for January 16-February 7. Read more from SuperSport »
