(Sept 09, 2013, (SALISBURY))--The 25-year-old man who abducted a woman from Brew River in February was found guilty by a Wicomico County jury Thursday.
Adene H. Bekele, of Salisbury, was found guilty of kidnapping, second-degree assault, false imprisonment and wearing a dangerous weapon with the intent to injure.
Bekele abducted the 20-year-old woman while posing as a cab driver on Feb. 1. He drove past the woman’s house without stopping, taking her to an apartment on West Main Street instead. Bekele brought the victim to a bedroom and put an item — the victim thinks it was a folding knife she had seen — to her throat. Read more from Delmarva now »
