Press freedom prospects in Ethiopia (NPR & RFI Radio report)

(Saturday, August 25, 2012, By Ofeibea Quist-Arcton)--Meles Zenawi came to power in Ethiopia at the head of a rebel army that toppled dictator Mengistu Haile Mariam. For 20 years, he worked to alleviate poverty for Ethiopians long inured to lives of need and hunger. Meles died this week at 57.
