(On 2 April, Addis Ababa) Ethiopian Airlines launched a new route connecting its Addis Ababa (ADD) hub and Mahé (SEZ) in the Seychelles.
The airline, which is the youngest member of Star Alliance, offers thrice-weekly services to the Indian Ocean island using its fleet of 118-seat 737-700s.
Ethiopian is the only Star member to serve the archipelago. “Ethiopian Airlines is pleased to fly to Seychelles, offering travellers from any part of the world access to its legendary beauty and amenities,” said Tewolde Gebremariam, CEO of Ethiopian Airlines. There is no competition on the 2,400-kilometre route.
