Ukraine, Ethiopia to sign intergovernmental agreement on air trafficReaad more

(25, January 2012, KP News)--The governments of Ukraine and the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia are to sign an agreement on air traffic.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine on Jan. 25 approved a respective draft instructed submitted by Vice Premier and Infrastructure Minister Borys Kolesnikov, according to the press service of the Infrastructure Ministry.

According to the statement, the agreement will form the basis for regular air communications between Ukraine and Ethiopia. The agreement on air traffic will determine the regulation procedure for international flights between Ukraine and Ethiopia and the procedure for choosing airlines, as well as set terms for issuing and withdrawing licenses from airlines for regular flights between the countries.

The agreement will also envisage the mutual recognition of crewmember documents, contain an item on aviation safety, and stipulate the mechanism for inspecting airlines to check whether they meet the standards of the International Civil Aviation Organization.

As reported, on Jan. 18, 2012 the government of Ukraine approved an instruction on the submission of an agreement between the Cabinet of Minister of Ukraine and the government of the Kingdom of Morocco on maritime merchant navigation to the Verkhovna Rada for ratification.
