Swedish minister criticised as journalists face Ethiopian trial

(Oct 17, 2011, Euro News)--Sweden's foreign minister has been criticised for supposedly neglecting the plight of two Swedish journalists facing terrorism charges in Ethiopia. Carl Bildt is suspected by some media outlets of being at the centre of a conflict of interests.

Martin Schibbye and Johan Persson were investigating the activities of a Swedish oil and mining company whose directors had included Carl Bildt.

The pair were arrested in July near the Somali border while they were with rebels from the Ogaden National Liberation Front.
