Gondar, April 12, 2011 (Gondar,ENA) - Close to 15,000 tourists visited the Semien Mountain Park over the last nine months, the Park Administration said.
Park Tourist Officer, Sisay Mekuanint told ENA that the number tourists have visited during the reported period exceeded last year by over 2,000.
He said some 13,400 tourists were foreigners.
Sisay attributed the increment of tourists to the construction of new hotels and tourist lodges around the park.
Some 3.6 million Birr revenue was secured from the tourists, according to the officer.
