Pres.Girma receives thank you letter from Japanese PM

Addis Ababa, April 20, 2011 (Addis Ababa) - President Girma Woldegiorgis received on Wednesday letter of thanks from Japanese Prime Minister, Kan Naoto for the people and government of Ethiopia for their empathy for when Japan hit by the devastating earthquake.

While handing out the letter to the President, Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia Hiroyuki Kishino said the government of Japan expresses its gratitude for countries like Ethiopia that stood behind during the shocking disaster.

He said the development aid that Japan gives to Ethiopia will not be discontinued due to the accident.
On the occasion, President Girma commended the efforts of the Japanese government to recover from the accident.

He expressed his hope that Japan will soon be able to rehabilitate the scenario.
