House Approves Three Bills, Refers Tow Other Bills for Scrutiny

(April 14, 2011 (Addis Ababa, ENA) - The House of Peoples Representatives approved three bills while referring two other bills for further scrutiny to pertinent standing committees in its regular session held here on Friday.

The House endorsed the African Telecommunication Constitution and Convention Draft Proclamation and a draft amending the code of Ethics governing members of the House after making lengthy deliberation.

It also approved a proposal on the appointment of borad members of government media administration.

The parliament has referred the bills ratifying the loan agreement signed between Ethiopia and OPEC I international Development Fund for the partly execution of power supply project, and the loan agreement signed between Ethiopia and Indian Export-Import Bank for the implementation the sugar industry development project to Budgetary and Financial Affairs Standing committee for scrutiny.
