BEIRUT | iloubnan.info - April 07, 2011
A truck for aircraft supplies collided with a parked Boeing 737-700 Ethiopian Airlines aircraft with 68 passengers on board, causing a 20 centimeter scratch on the plane's left wing, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

Sources at Rafik Hariri International Airport said that the truck was driving backwards to provide the plane with supplies but accidentally hit it, causing the wide scratch on the left wing of the plane.

Airport authorities prevented the Ethiopian plane from flying and passengers returned home until another Ethiopian plane arrives to Beirut on Friday to fly them to Addis Ababa.

The maintenance teams at the airport filed a report about the incident before making the necessary repairs, the NNA added.
