American investors showing increased interest in Ethiopia’s textile : Ambassador

Mekele, April 5, 2011 (Mekele, ENA) - The U.S. Ambassador to Ethiopia, Donald E. Booth said American investors are showing increased interest in Ethiopian textile.
Ambassador Booth made the remark during his working visit in Tigray State. The ambassador visited industries , among others, Mesfin Industrial Engineering and Magarmet.

Booth said the increasing interest that American companies are showing in Ethiopian textile will create an opportunity to bolster economic ties between the two countries. He said the industries would play major role in the development of the country.

The ambassador also discussed with Mekele University officials on issues related to academic cooperation.
Ambassador Booth also visited Mekelle correction center.
