Addis Ababa , March 12, 2011 (Addis Ababa) - The government of Ethiopia is transporting Ethiopians living in Libya from Benghazi as of Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Some 10 of the 20 Ethiopians registered at the Sudanese Consulate in Benghazi are being transported from Benghazi via Egypt to Sudan, according to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
All the necessary documents are being fulfilled for the Ethiopians through Ethiopia embassies in Khartoum and Cairo.
According to the Spokesperson, though Ethiopia doesn't have embassy in Libya, it is using the Sudanese Embassy in Tripoli, Sudanese Consulates Kufra and Benghazi to get its citizens return home safely.
