Ethiopian ambassador Hassen confers with Yemeni officials

Addis Ababa, April 13, 2011 (Addis Ababa) - Ethiopian Ambassador to Yemen, Hassen Abdella Ali held discussion with Yemeni government officials on the ways to strengthen bilateral relations of the two countries, the ministry of foreign affairs told ENA in a statement on Wednesday.

According to the ministry, the ambassador held discussion with Yemeni Prime Minister, Dr. Ali Mujawar and Speaker of Shura Council, Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani.

The two parties have agreed to further strengthen the deep rooted and symbiotic historical and cultural relations of the two courtiers.

The prime minister said the two countries will work to ensure mutual benefits of the two sides.
Shura Council Speaker on his part said the two countries are keen to enhance ongoing investment, trade, cultural and parliamentary relations.

The two parties have exchange views on the current situation of Yemen.

Meanwhile, Ethiopian General Consul in Saudi Arabia, Jeddah Ambassador Merwan Bedri held discussion with CEO of Islamic Corporation for the Insurance, Investment and Export Credit, (ICIEC), Dr. Abdel Rahman El-Tayeb Taha.

The ICIEC provided loan for Ethiopia’s rural electric power expansion project, the CEO said and adding, the Corporation is interested to work closely with the government of Ethiopia in other areas.
