Assembly Speaker resigns over Oromia, Ogaden stand-off

(Oct 10, (cctv))--The Speaker of Ethiopia's parliament has unexpectedly resigned from his post a few days to the opening of the house. Abadulla Gemeda is said to have left his post due to the Federal government's recent handling of the conflict between communities in the Oromia and Ethiopia Somali regions.

As CGTN'S Girum Chala reports, Abadulla is one of the most respected political figures in the Horn of Africa nation.
