Chan 2016: Ethiopia Walia Ibex coach Yohannes Sahle hints at quitting team

(Jan 27, 2016, (Soka25east))--Ethiopia Walia Ibex coach Yohannes Sahle has hinted at stepping down from his position as Head coach of the national team after what he referred to us “frustrations”

Speaking to Soka25east.com in Rwanda where his team participated in the ongoing African Nations Championship and were knocked out in the first round,Sahle said he felt tired and that his position was nolonger tenable.

“I am done with the team infact when I go back to Ethiopia I will step down because I really feel unappreciated after working so hard with very minimal preparations ahead of CHAN 2016.I took the position of coach last year and within three months I was had changed the team and ensured we qualified for CHAN 2016 a tournament that has only 16 teams and even big guns like Algeria,Egypt ,South Africa and defending champions Libya never qualified”
 
“The federation has not made things easier for me because I was expected to get results and yet we did not get adequate preparations only training for nine days and playing one friendly game yet most of the teams in the competition prepared adequately”Sahle told Soka25east.com.
