Family plead for return of Upper Holloway father held on death row in Ethiopia

(Feb 13, 2015, (Islington Tribune))--THE FAMILY of a British man who is on death row in Ethiopia held a vigil outside No 10 Downing Street this week in protest at what they claim is the UK government’s inaction over his plight.

Andargachew “Andy” Tsege, the father of a 15-year-old girl and eight-year-old twins who lives in Upper Holloway, was “rendered” by the Ethiopians while travelling through Yemen on his way to Eritrea in June last year.

He has not been seen since, except in a brief appearance on Ethiopian state television in July. Human rights organisation Reprieve is concerned that he is being held in solitary confinement and has been tortured.  Read more from Islington Tribune »
