(July 08, 2013, (CCTV Africa Live))--The British government is now set to fully implement the proposal to ban Miraa or khat, a herbal stimulant widely used by Somalis and Ethiopians, following a proposal to do so, by its Home Secretary.
However, the decision to ban it has been taken against the advice of the UK government's own scientific advisors, sparking anger from Kenyan growers directly affected by the loss of one of their key markets.
