(October 16, 2012, Addis Ababa)-- The yearly Japanese Film Festival, which displays movies that depicted the historic, cultural and modern lifestyle of that country, was opened in Addis Ababa City and Mekele Town, Tigray State.
Speaking on the launching of the Festival in Addis Ababa, Japanese Ambassador to Ethiopia, Hiroyuki Kishino said the Festival helps to strengthen the people-to-people relation between the two sisterly countries.
Some six Japanese films will be displayed during the 11-day Festival in Addis Ababa University, Italian Cultural Institute and Alliance Ethio-Francaise, as well as in Mekele University, he said.
