Egyptian investors keen to engage in Ethiopia’s business climate: Egyptian FM

(August 25, 2011,Addis Ababa, ENA) - The Egyptian Foreign Minister Mohammed Kamal Amre said Egyptian investors are interested to engage in various businesses in Ethiopia.

Prime Minister Meles Zenawi has held discussion with Egyptian FM Mohammed Kamal Amre on bilateral and regional concerns here on Thursday.

The Egyptian FM said the relation between Ethiopia and his country in a good shape. He said his government is interested to further enhance the existing good relation with Ethiopia. He lauded the effort of the Ethiopian government in its effort to ensure peace and stability in Somalia and Sudan.

Egypt and Ethiopian has more areas to work closely in the economic and poetical arena,he said. PM Meles on his part said the relation of the two sisterly countries is not only confined with the river Nile but an age long ties.

He said the international community has to response quickly for the drought that hits Somali hard. PM Meles said the emergency relief should reach the victims their locality before they evacuate their vicinity.

The situation in Sudan has settled down peacefully, he said, however, neighboring countries have to contribute their share to address unsettled issues. PM Meles has accepted the invitation offered by the Egyptian FM to visit Egypt.
