Mobile SIM card is being provided to subscribers at reduced price of 60 Ethiopian Birr (about $3.5) by the Ethio Telecom.
The mobile technology is helping the Ethiopian public to boost social and economic activities, residents in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Coastweek.com reported on Friday, quoting a new agency, Xinhua.
Kessate Molla, a sheep vendor at a sheep market in Addis Ababa, said the mobile technology enabled the sheep vendors to exchange information on the demand and price of sheep so that they make good business.
“We have been benefiting from the mobile technology; before the introduction and use of the mobile we did not exchange information on the price of sheep and about the market; but, it helps us now to make our business properly; we did not spend time carelessly; it helps us do the business well,” said Kessate.
Moges Kasaye is another man who is engaged in sheep business. He works as a middle-man and also supplies sheep to the market.
